“He had a mind like a steel trap,” said former Missouri Rep. Richard Gephardt, who chaired the Democratic Caucus. And with this came Wright’s meticulousness — some might say obsession — about the details to be controlled.
Thomas Roberts talks to Tom Blank, former head of TSA security policy, about allegations that two TSA agents purposefully groped attractive men at checkpoints.
Mr. DiCaprio serves on the Delos advisory board, along with Deepak Chopra, the self-improvement guru; Richard A. Gephardt, the former United States representative from Missouri; and doctors at the Mayo Clinic and the Cleveland Clinic.
On Fox & Friends Sunday, host Anna Kooiman introduced an interview with former FAA official Scott Brenner about how “the different way other countries train their pilots may be the real reason” for the crash.
Rob Epplin, a vice president of Gephardt Government Affairs and a former Senate GOP aide, said Democrats are “absolutely” part of the strategy, especially when working the Senate.
Gephardt Government Affairs, founded by former Democratic Rep. Dick Gephardt (Mo.), has prominent Republicans on staff, including George W. Bush administration official Scott Brenner

Ride-sharing startup Lyft has enlisted Gephardt Group Government Affairs to fight policies that inhibit its operation, according to Senate lobbying disclosure records.
This is the company’s third federal lobbying registration since it came to Washington earlier this year, POLITICO Influence reports today. TwinLogic Strategies and Jochum Shore & Trossevin lobby for Lyft on similar issues. The company has expanded rapidly this year despite a variety of policy battles in state and local markets and a growing rivalry with competitor Uber.
Three Gephardt lobbyists will represent the company: Scott Brenner, formerly of the Department of Homeland Security and the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration; Kyle Mulhall, who was counsel for former House Majority Leader Dick Gephardt; and Robert Epplin, a former Senate aide.
Lyft spent $20,000 on lobbying in the first half of the year, according to Senate records.
Boeing is pulling out all the stops in an aggressive campaign to save the Export-Import Bank. The aerospace giant is employing a high-powered team of lobbyists as it presses lawmakers to reauthorize the 80-year-old agency before its charter expires on Sept. 30.
The company has poured $4.18 million into its lobbying operation in recent months, a 6 percent increase over the second quarter of 2013, and has at least 18 lobbyists working on financial services issues alone.
It has also hired two outside lobbying firms, the Gephardt Group and Clark Geduldig Cranford & Nielsen, to push for the bank’s renewal. Both firms worked for Boeing during the last fight over Ex-Im reauthorization in 2012.
